Treatment focus & methods
The core of my therapeutic work is modern cognitive behavioural therapy – a solution-focused approach that starts directly from your current life situation. Depending on your individual concerns, I complement this core with emotion-focused and experiential methods and with proven mindfulness, acceptance and relaxation techniques.
Clinical focus:
- Depression & existential crises (e.g. burnout, chronic exhaustion)
- Anxiety disorders & panic disorder
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder
- Trauma-related disorders
Specialised therapies (“third wave”):
- Schema therapy (after J. Young): For understanding and lastingly changing deep-seated patterns in life and relationships that have been shaped by your personal history.
- CBASP (after J. McCullough / E. Schramm): A highly specific method for treating chronic depression through the targeted analysis of interpersonal interactions.
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT, after S. Hayes): An approach that combines radical acceptance of what cannot be changed with the courage to actively align your life with your personal values.
