Data protection is particularly important to the practice for psychotherapy of Dr. Paul Bausch. No personal data is collected when you use this website, except where this policy expressly says so. Personal data (such as name, address, date of birth) collected by phone, in person or by email is processed and stored in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Hosting

This website is hosted as a static site on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When the site is accessed, GitHub Pages automatically collects technical access data (including IP address, date and time of access, page requested, browser used) in server log files. This data is used solely for delivering and securing the site and is not combined with other data sources. Details are set out in GitHub’s privacy statement at docs.github.com/site-policy.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: the legitimate interest lies in delivering this website securely and reliably. GitHub is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, on the basis of which data is transferred to the USA (adequacy decision of the European Commission of 10 July 2023).

The practice itself has no access to these log files and does not analyse them.

Fonts

This website uses the fonts Newsreader and Source Sans 3. The font files are stored locally on the server and delivered with the page; no connection is made to Google Fonts or any other external font provider.

Contact by email or phone

If you contact the practice by email or phone, your details (such as name, contact details and your concern) are processed to handle your enquiry and arrange appointments. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and, where health data is concerned, Art. 9(2)(h) GDPR. If no treatment follows, the details are deleted once they are no longer needed; treatment records are subject to the statutory retention periods.

Please note that ordinary email is transmitted unencrypted. Please only mention your concern briefly; we will discuss detailed information about your health in person.

This website contains links to other providers (e.g. ResearchGate). When you click one, you leave this website, and the privacy policy of the respective provider applies from then on. No data is transferred to these providers before the click.

Your rights

You have the right to access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
